Calathea plants have remarkable leaves with patterns that distinguish the different types within this family. It is good to know that Calathea is not an easy plant, they demand a cool (18 – 23 degrees) and rather dark environment, which makes this plant suitable for dark places and corners. If they are on a spot that is too hot, the leaves will start to crimp. Also the plant needs a high atmospheric humidity, which can be created by placing the plant in a larger pot, with a little bit of water in the bottom. (Keep in mind that too much water in the pot can cause the root to rot).
